Leader Stelmet delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they crushed 14th ranked AZS Koszalin (8-17) 79-60 in Zielona Gora. Stelmet players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by AZS Koszalin's players. International swingman Karol Gruszecki (193-89, college: Texas Arlington) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stelmet have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-6 record. AZS Koszalin at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Stelmet will play against Asseco (#13) in Gdynia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
