Regular Season Round 29: CFBB - SAP Vaucluse 61-70

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 29th consecutive match to thirteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (13-16) 70-61 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-14. But CFBB won second period 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SAP Vaucluse made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while CFBB only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded CFBB 40-24 including 32 on the defensive glass. American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) nailed 20 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Theo Maledon (191-1) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ivan Fevrier (203-99) added 19 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SAP Vaucluse have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen. Loser CFBB still closes the standings. SAP Vaucluse will meet at home Gries/Oberhoffen (#12) in the next round. CFBB will play against Saint Vallier (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
