Regular Season Round 29: RAC Basket - Angers BC 84-82

Seventeenth-ranked Angers BC (11-18) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Rueil (18-11). Rueil managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Angers BC won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rueil players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Hugo Suhard (184-92) produced 22 points and 6 assists and Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Five Angers BC players scored in double figures. Rueil maintains fourth place with 18-11 record. Angers BC lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. Rueil's next round opponent will be ALS Basket (#9) in Andrezieux which should be theoretically an easy game. Angers BC will play at home against Vitre (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
