Weissenhorn overcame Rist Wedel to sweep the eighth-final series. Weissenhorn Youngstars outrebounded SC Rist Wedel 46-27 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. SC Rist Wedel was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Austrian point guard David Kramer (191-97) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Lithuanian power forward Aurimas Adomaitis (205-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) replied with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Fabian Strauss (193-93) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SC Rist Wedel. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
