American guard Wali Hepburn (193-89, college: Lock Haven) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard David Lawson (185-89, college: Reinhardt) accounted for 30 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Canarios players scored in double figures. Panamanian Manuel Guevara (186-81) came up with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) added 24 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for El Rapido in the defeat. Canarios moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Denver-FAS and Sonsonate. El Rapido at the other side keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
