Regular Season Round 27: Vytautas - Dzukija 91-69

There was no surprise in Prienai where 8th ranked Dzukija (7-20) was crushed by sixth ranked Vytautas (15-12) 91-69. The game without a history. Vytautas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Vytautas forced 20 Dzukija turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Dzukija's players. It was a good game for forward Vytenis Lipkevicius (196-89) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Vytenis Cizauskas (187-92) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Karolis Guscikas (205-92, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Jonathan Hudson (180-87, college: Texas A&M) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Dzukija. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vytautas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Juventus. Dzukija at the other side keeps the eighth position with 20 games lost. Vytautas will play against league's second-placed Lietkabelis in Panevezys in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dzukija will play at home against the league's leader Zalgiris (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
