The game with biggest result difference took place in Wloclawek. Local Anwil (18-7) outscored 15th ranked TBV Start (7-17) 112-77 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TBV Start. Anwil made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 TBV Start turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who scored 28 points and 4 assists. Belgian-American guard Tyler Haws (193-91, college: BYU) chipped in 21 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Anwil players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Stefan Balmazovic (199-89) produced 17 points and American guard Doug Wiggins (183-88, college: Mountain St.) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain second place with 18-7 record behind leader Stelmet ZG. Loser TBV Start keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Anwil will face Asseco (#13) in Gdynia in the next round which should be another easy win for them. TBV Start will play at home against PGE Turow and hope to win that game.
