Quarter-Finals Round 3: Shockers - Rockets 96-68

Shockers cruised past Rockets to seal their semifinal appearance. Shockers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 36. Shockers forced 30 Rockets turnovers and outrebounded them 57-46 including 21 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Rockets' players. Rockets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Salathiel Dean who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks. Lamont Armaly contributed with 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. Five Shockers players scored in double figures. Tomeko Moxey answered with 21 points and Demetri Mackey added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Rockets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
