Leader Salon Vilpas delivered the twenty sixth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked UU-Korihait (5-29) 85-73 in Uusikaupunki. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 26-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Juwan Staten (185-92, college: W.Virginia) accounted for 21 points and 5 assists. Five Salon Vilpas players scored in double figures. Point guard Mikko Jalonen (186-82) came up with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Gary Johnson (198-91, college: Albany) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for UU-Korihait in the defeat. Salon Vilpas (26-8) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. UU-Korihait lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 29 lost games. Salon Vilpas' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Helsinki Seagulls at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. UU-Korihait will play against Kouvot (#6) in Kouvola and hope to win that game.
