Regular Season Round 48: Kyoto Hannar. - Ryukyu GK 78-89

Round 48 most important game was a victory of Ryukyu GK over one of their biggest challengers Kyoto Hannar. 89-78 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Ryukyu GK shot 63.0 percent from the field. Ryukyu GK had a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Naoki Tashiro (188-93) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) added 22 points in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK (22-24) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Osaka Evessa. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 25 games lost. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto Hannar. will play again at home against Ryukyu GK (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
