There was no surprise in Nagano where 6th ranked Shinshu BW (12-37) was crushed by first ranked Nishinomiya S. (34-14) 94-62 on Sunday. Nishinomiya S. made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Nishinomiya S. outrebounded Shinshu BW 56-31 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Australian center Jordan Vandenberg (216-90, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. American forward Xavier Ford (201-93, college: Buffalo) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and Yosuke Yosuke (184-85) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nishinomiya S. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 34-14 record, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Shinshu BW lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 37 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face Tokyo Z (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shinshu BW will play against Bambitious Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
