Regular Season Round 7: Trotamundos - Cocodrilos 67-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Valencia. Their biggest opponent host Trotamundos (6-6) lost to first ranked Cocodrilos (13-1) 79-67. Cocodrilos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Trotamundos' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Trotamundos were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard David Cubillan (181-87, college: Marquette, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) scored 15 points. Cocodrilos have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Loser Trotamundos keep the second position with six games lost. Cocodrilos will face Guaros (#4) in Barquisimeto in the next round. Trotamundos will play on the road against Panteras in Caracas and hope to win that game.
