The most exciting game of round 26 in the LEB Silver took place in Alicante. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers CB Granada (18-9) to fourth ranked Meridiano Alicante (18-9) 82-81 in the game for the third place. CB Granada trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 26-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-82 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) who scored 26 points and 5 assists. Forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four CB Granada players scored in double figures. CB Granada's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Meridiano Alicante moved-up to third place, which they share with Granada. Meridiano Alicante is looking forward to face Fontedoso Carrefour (#5) in Avila in the next round. CB Granada will play at home against Zornotza and is hoping to win this game.
