Regular Season Round 26: Albacete - Navarra 67-74

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Albacete (6-20) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Navarra (14-12) 74-67 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Albacete won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Albacete was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Dutch center Kevin Bleeker (208-93, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Four Navarra players scored in double figures. American guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) produced 21 points and forward Jose Blazquez (197-97) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Navarra moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Albacete stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Navarra will face league's second-placed Cambados at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Albacete will play against Blancos de Rueda (#9) in Valladolid and hope to win that game.
