Regular Season Round 29: Ehingen - Kirchheim 93-91

A very close game took place in Allmendingen between Ehingen/Urspringschule and Kirchheim Knights. Fourteenth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (10-20) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Kirchheim Knights (19-10). Ehingen/Urspringschule managed to escape with a 2-point win 93-91 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Ehingen/Urspringschule dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kirchheim Knights' 48. Ehingen/Urspringschule looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Scottish forward Alasdair Fraser (201-92, college: Maine, agency: Court Side) accounted for 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach Domenik Reinboth allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) added 21 points and 4 steals respectively for Kirchheim Knights in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Ehingen/Urspringschule maintains fourteenth place with 10-20 record. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Ehingen/Urspringschule will meet higher ranked Hamburg (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kirchheim Knights will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
