Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Tijuana Zonkeys (4-2). They were defeated by third ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (4-1) 91-81 on Friday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Rayos de Hermosillo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. DR Congolese-Canadian guard Myck Kabongo (191-92, college: Texas) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import center Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Five Rayos de Hermosillo and four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guasave. Tijuana Zonkeys at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Guasave. Tijuana Zonkeys will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Rayos de Hermosillo will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys at home.
