The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked MMCITE Brno's (10-21) road loss to ninth ranked BK Usti nad Labem (13-18) 60-77 on Friday. BK Usti nad Labem outrebounded MMCITE Brno 37-12 including a 27-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Mikey Thompson (190, college: Boise St.) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 assists for the winners and forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. BK Usti nad Labem's coach Antonin Pistecky allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Radek Pumprla (193-95) with 10 points and Bosnian center Ermin Jazvin (209-80) scored 7 points. BK Usti nad Labem moved-up to eighth place in Places 7-12. MMCITE Brno lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 21 games lost. BK Usti nad Labem will meet BK Lions Hradec (#10) in the next round. MMCITE Brno will play against Basketbal Svitavy and hope to secure a win.
