Second Stage Round 2: Sagesse - Byblos 76-86

An interesting game for Byblos (15-5) which played road game in Beirut against Sagesse (6-14). Byblos managed to get a 10-point victory 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by Byblos. Sagesse managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized American swingman Tarek Ammoury (196-90, college: Marymount) notched 24 points to lead the effort and French power forward Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 21 points. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) did not help to save the game for Sagesse. American forward Calvin Godfrey (206-90, college: Memphis) added 21 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Byblos will meet Homenetmen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sagesse will play against Louaize in Zouk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
