Finals Game 5: Soles - Fuerza Regia 90-70

Soles de Mexicali fired past Fuerza Regia to stay alive in the title series. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Fuerza Regia managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Soles dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza Regia's 28 and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fuerza Regia 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: S.Alabama) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 19 points and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
