Regular Season Round 31: Angers BC - Lourdes 96-75

There was an upset when higher ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (17-14) was rolled over on the road by fifteenth ranked Angers BC (13-18) 96-75 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Angers BC. Lourdes-Tarbes was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Angers BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Auston Calhoun (201-90, college: Bowling Green, agency: HMS) fired 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Angers BC moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Angers BC will face higher ranked ALS Basket (#9) in Andrezieux in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
