Regular Season Round 27: L'Hospitalet - Sammic ISB 65-94

LEB Silver top team - Sammic ISB (21-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked L'Hospitalet (9-18) 94-65. The game without a history. Sammic ISB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for point guard Gaizka Maiza (191-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 assists. New Zealand center Mike Karena (208-93, college: Wright St.) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and FYR Macedonian center Ivan Todorovic (214-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Five Sammic ISB and four L'Hospitalet players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sammic ISB have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-6 record. L'Hospitalet lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Sammic ISB will play against CB Granada (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. L'Hospitalet will play against Blancos de Rueda (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
