Regular Season Round 26: Cantbasket - Easo 82-68

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Santander where third ranked Cantbasket (17-5) won against second-ranked Easo (17-6) 82-68 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in Group A-A. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 14 points. Bosnian Sandro Gacic (200-96) scored 30 points to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Lleon Tillman (198-92, college: W.Alabama) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Cantbasket's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Inigo Del-Valle (188-87) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and center Manex Eizmendi (200-92) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cantbasket and five Easo players scored in double figures. Cantbasket moved-up to second place in Group A-A. Loser Easo dropped to the third position with six games lost. Cantbasket will face TAKE Tolosa (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Easo will play against the league's leader Estela (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
