Regular Season Round 27: Salzkotten - Hagen BG 94-88

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Salzkotten (13-13) beat at home second-best Hagen BG (19-7) 94-88 on Saturday. Salzkotten dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hagen BG's 38 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Salzkotten had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Matthias Finke (190-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists. Swingman Alan Boger (194-96) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Salzkotten players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bulgarian guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Greek swingman Haris Plioukas (200-89) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Salzkotten moved-up to seventh place in West, which they share with Duesseldorf. Loser Hagen BG dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
