Regular Season Round 26: Coin - Plasencia 86-76

There was a surprise result when seventh ranked Coin (4-10) won against at home second-ranked Plasencia (8-6) 86-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Coin. Plasencia was better in fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Coin especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Plasencia's players. Point guard Jose Ballesteros (181-79) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mario Garcia (196-88) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Coin players scored in double figures. Coin's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Fitzgerald White (201-91, college: Union, KY) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Pablo Bayle (190-87) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Coin maintains seventh position in Group D Perman with 4-10 record. Loser Plasencia dropped to the third place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
