Regular Season Round 27: Leitershofen - Schwabing 92-99

No shocking result in a game in Diedorf where seventh ranked Schwabing (13-12) won against 11th ranked Topstar (10-15) 99-92 on Saturday. Strangely Topstar outrebounded Schwabing 39-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Schwabing especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Topstar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Oscar Da-Silva (207-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 40 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). American forward Billy McDonald (198-94, college: Caldwell) helped adding 17 points. Four Schwabing players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenian guard Emanuel Richter (192-86) with 28 points and naturalized Bosnian power forward Nedim Hadzovic (205-90) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Schwabing. They maintain seventh place in South-East with 13-12 record, which they share with Oberhaching. Loser Topstar dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Schwabing will face Herzogenaurach (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Topstar will play against the league's second-placed Vilsbiburg where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
