Regular Season Round 25: Stelmet ZG - Start Lublin 86-75

PLK top team - Stelmet (21-6) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Start (8-19) in Zielona Gora 86-75. Stelmet dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Start's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) stepped up and scored 13 points for the winners and Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia) chipped in 13 points. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Nicholas Covington (188-85, college: Oklahoma City) responded with 15 points and the other American import guard Nick Kellogg (190-91, college: Ohio) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stelmet have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 21-6 record. Start at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with AZS Koszalin. Stelmet are looking forward to face league's second-placed Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Start will play at home against BM Slam Stal (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
