Regular Season Round 31: RAC Basket - Souffel 62-84

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rueil. Third ranked Souffelweyersheim faced 4th placed Rueil. Guests from Souffelweyersheim (20-11) smashed host Rueil (18-13) 84-62. The game without a history. Souffelweyersheim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 9 points and 8 assists for the winners. American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rueil. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Souffelweyersheim maintains third place with 20-11 record having four points less than leader Caen. Rueil at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. They share it with GET Vosges and Orchies. Souffelweyersheim will play against Vitre (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Rueil will play against the league's leader Caen (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
