Liga Ouro top team - Botafogo F.R. (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Brusque (0-7) in Rio de Janeiro 80-59. Botafogo F.R. made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Botafogo F.R. outrebounded Brusque 48-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. American guard Wesley Russell (193-93, college: Ohio Christian) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Arnaldinho Filho (187-78) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Fernando Henrique (201-84) produced 16 points and swingman Durval Prado (200-92) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Botafogo F.R. have a solid four-game winning streak.
