Quarter-Finals Round 2: Boras - Uppsala 80-69

Boras topped Uppsala for the opening win at the quarterfinal stage. It looked good early as Uppsala Basket took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boras Basket had a 27-15 second period charge getting the lead and Uppsala Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-80. Boras Basket made 23-of-25 charity shots (92.0 percent) during the game. The former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) contributed with 30 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. The former international center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Alexander Lindqvist (205-91, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Uppsala Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
