Regular Season Round 26: Evreux - Nantes 96-90

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked ALM Evreux (14-12) won against at home 10th ranked Nantes (12-14) 96-90. It looked good early as Nantes took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then ALM Evreux had a 28-17 second period charge getting the lead and Nantes was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 90-96. ALM Evreux forced 21 Nantes turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Corin Henry (178-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 26 points and 7 assists. Swingman Bastien Pinault (195-93) chipped in 17 points. ALM Evreux's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) produced 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Alexis Desespringalle (192-91) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four ALM Evreux and five Nantes players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Nantes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. ALM Evreux's next round opponent will be SO Maritime Boulogne (#16) in Boulogne-sur-Mer which should be an easy win for them. Nantes will play at home against Lille Metropole (#3) and hope to win that game.
