Regular Season Round 26: Krosno - Polpharma 74-85

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Krosno (15-13) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Polpharma (15-13) 85-74. They made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Point guard Marcin Flieger (185-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar) contributed with 21 points for the winners. American power forward Kareem Maddox (202-89, college: Princeton) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) added 18 points in the effort for Krosno. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Krosno's coach Michal Baran rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Polpharma moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Krosno. Polpharma will play against higher ranked Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Krosno will play on the road against Wilki Morskie in Szczecin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
