Regular Season Round 28: L'Hospitalet - Valladolid 54-56

Twelfth-ranked L'Hospitalet (9-19) gave a tough game to tenth ranked Blancos de Rueda (15-13) on Saturday. The visitors from Valladolid managed to secure only two-point victory 56-54. However their fans expected easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But L'Hospitalet won third quarter 16-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) responded with 18 points and forward Alex Reina (192-89) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. L'Hospitalet's coach Jorge Tarragona tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. L'Hospitalet lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Blancos de Rueda will face league's second-placed Cambados on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. L'Hospitalet will play against CB Granada (#3) and hope to win that game.
