Very important is a home loss of second ranked Cambados (20-8) against fifteenth ranked Albacete (8-20) on Saturday night. Host Cambados was defeated by Albacete in a tough game in Cambados 71-80. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Cambados. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-18 Cambados' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 80-71 at the end of the game. The winners were led by guard Michael Torres (188-94) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Godson Eneogwe (198, college: Quincy) supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Erik Quintela (184-91) did not help to save the game for Cambados. Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Cambados' coach Manuel Santos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacete moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Tarragona. Cambados at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Albacete will play against higher ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (#11) in Leon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cambados will play at home against Blancos de Rueda (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
