The game with biggest result difference took place in Navolato. Local Garra Canera de Navolato (6-4) beat 8th ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (4-6) 104-86 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Garra Canera de Navolato dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Lobos UAD Mazatlan's 46. They outrebounded Lobos UAD Mazatlan 44-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Jorge-Alfredo Casillas (196-90) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Garra Canera de Navolato and five Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato moved-up to third place, which they share with Obregon and Guaymas. Defending champion Lobos UAD Mazatlan dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Garra Canera de Navolato will face league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will play against Pioneros Los Mochis (#10) and hope to win that game.
