Regular Season Round 27: Chantada - Innova Chef 78-70

Very predictable result when first ranked Chantada (20-4) beat at home 11th ranked Innova Chef (9-15) 78-70 on Saturday. Chantada dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Innova Chef's 28. The best player for the winners was center David Guerra (207-89) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Montenegrin center Filip Knezevic (205-94) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Innova Chef players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Chantada have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A-B with 20-4 record. Loser Innova Chef dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Chantada will face Vigo VGO (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Innova Chef will play against Seis do Nadal and hope to win that game.
