Regular Season Round 27: Stelmet ZG - PGE Turow 94-85

Very predictable result when second ranked Stelmet (22-7) won against 8th ranked PGE Turow (15-13) in Zielona Gora 94-85. Stelmet made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was international swingman Michal Michalak (197-93) who recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Four Stelmet and five PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Matthias Fischer tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Anwil. PGE Turow at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 13 games lost. Stelmet's next round opponent will be Polfarmex (#16) in Kutno which should be an easy win for them. PGE Turow will play on the road against AZS Koszalin (#14) and hope to win that game.
