Tenth-ranked Alcazar (14-14) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Meridiano Alicante (19-10). Meridiano Alicante managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Meridiano Alicante forced 19 Alcazar turnovers. It was a very good performance for power forward Guillermo Rejon (206-77) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Dionte Ferguson (198-92, college: S.Alabama) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) replied with 27 points and 4 assists and power forward Jose Santonja (200-92) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Alcazar. Alcazar's coach David Varela tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Meridiano Alicante maintains fourth position with 19-10 record. Newly promoted Alcazar keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Meridiano Alicante's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Gandia (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Alcazar will play against Zornotza (#7) and hope to win that game.
