Semi-Finals Game 1: Sampaio - Corinthians 51-74

Corinthians cruised past Sampaio in the opener. The game without a history. Corinthians/Americana led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sampaio's 32. The former international center Damiris Do-Amaral (192-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners and Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (161-93, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Corinthians/Americana players scored in double figures. Corinthians/Americana's coach Carlos Vendramini felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international guard Taina Paixao (176-91) responded with 18 points and power forward Leticia Rodrigues (190-95) scored 5 points and 13 rebounds.
