Valur rallied past Hamar on the road to force the decisive fifth game in the title series. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 23-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Valur had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds. Guard Oddur Petursson (190-93) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds and guard Erlendur Stefansson (190-95, college: Black Hills St.) added 19 points in the effort for Hamar. Four Hamar players scored in double figures.
