Regular Season Round 11: Tijuana - Obregon 95-99

The game between second ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (7-4) and fifth ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (6-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Halcones de Ciudad Obregon in a tough game in Tijuana 95-99. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 29 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Aspire Sports) chipped in 22 points. Swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists and center Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) added 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon and five Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon moved-up to third place, which they share with Guaymas and Navolato. Tijuana Zonkeys at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon is looking forward to face Caballeros de Culiacan (#7) on the road in the next round. Tijuana Zonkeys will have a break next round.
