UNIQA Sopron dropped ZTE NKK to secure their semifinal appearance. UNIQA Sopron led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ZTE NKK to just 7 points in fourth quarter. UNIQA Sopron dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to ZTE NKK's 38. They outrebounded ZTE NKK 39-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. Australian center Cayla George (192-89) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Whitney Bays (188-92, college: Purdue) replied with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import guard Kirby Burkholder (183-92, college: JMU, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points in the effort for ZTE NKK. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
