Regular Season Round 27: Antibes - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 92-93

Sixteenth-ranked Olympique Antibes (8-19) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (19-8). The visitors from Pau managed to secure only one-point victory 93-92. However their fans expected much easier game. Olympique Antibes was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Taquan Dean (193-83, college: Louisville, agency: Two Points) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) accounted for 20 points and 8 assists for the winning side. American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists and American-Nigerian center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Olympique Antibes in the defeat. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez and five Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Olympique Antibes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to third place. Olympique Antibes at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Orleans. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against league's leader Monaco at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Olympique Antibes will play against Chalons-Reims (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
