MBK Ruzomberok topped Samorin in the consolation finals opener. The game without a history. MBK Ruzomberok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Samorin to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Samorin 38-18 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Janae Smith (188-92, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Zuzana Lazarova (168-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Five MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. MBK Ruzomberok's coach Juraj Suja used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian forward Kalisha Keane (185-89, college: Michigan St.) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Samorin.
