Regular Season Round 26: Dinamo Tbilisi - Cactus Tbilisi 68-74

Top ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (23-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (12-14) 74-68. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-68. Strangely Dinamo Tbilisi outrebounded Cactus Tbilisi 51-37 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Terik Bridgeman (198, college: William Pater.) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Cactus Tbilisi and four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Cactus Tbilisi have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 12-14 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Olimpi.
