Regular Season Round 26: Koroivos - Promitheas 66-62

An interesting game took place in Koroivos, where 9th ranked Promitheas (10-16) lost to twelfth ranked Koroivos (8-18) in a road game 62-66 on Thursday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Promitheas won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Markel Starks (188-91, college: Georgetown) who scored 14 points and 4 assists. The other American import Toddrick Gotcher (193-93, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Nikos Gikas (186-91, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Lucky Jones (198-93, college: Robert Morris) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Promitheas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Koroivos moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Kymis. Newly promoted Promitheas keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost.
