Leader Olympiacos delivered the twenty fifth victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Kymis (8-18) 93-45 in Athens. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kymis to just 6 points in first quarter. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kymis' 34. They outrebounded Kymis 44-24 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kymis' players. American center Patric Young (208-92, college: Florida) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Olympiacos players scored in double figures. Center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Panagiotis Katranas (202-85) scored 6 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
