Corinthians drubbed Sampaio to pave their way into Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Corinthians/Americana. Sampaio was better in third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Corinthians/Americana dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sampaio's 34. Corinthians/Americana forced 22 Sampaio turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (161-93, agency: ProDep Management) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Joice Rodrigues (168-86) chipped in 19 points during the contest.
