Regular Season Round 29: Teramo - Cefalu 80-74

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Teramo (13-14) won against at home 9th ranked Cefalu (13-15) 80-74 on Saturday. Cefalu was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Andrea LaGioia (193-86, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Center Daniele Tomasello (205-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marco Mollura (196-93) answered with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Guglielmo Sodero (192-93) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Cefalu. Teramo moved-up to ninth place in B. Cefalu at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Teramo will face higher ranked Cassino (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cefalu will play against Patti (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
