Regular Season Round 33: RAC Basket - Chartres 79-65

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Rueil (19-14) beat at home 10th ranked UB Chartres (16-17) 79-65 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Rueil's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-15 extending their advantage to 14 points. American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian swingman Mantas Ruikis (194-85) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) scored 5 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rueil moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Orchies. UB Chartres lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. Rueil will face SAP Vaucluse (#14) in Sorgues in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UB Chartres will play at home against Vitre (#16) and hope to win that game.
