Regular Season Round 20: Tokyo HT - Tokyo Cinq R. 90-81

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo HT (#3) and Tokyo Cinq R. (#5). Tokyo HT (24-12) won against visiting Tokyo Cinq R. (14-22) 90-81. Tokyo HT shot 27 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Tokyo Cinq R. only scored six points from the stripe. 33 personal fouls committed by Tokyo Cinq R. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Tokyo HT maintains third position with 24-12 record having nine points less than leader Kanazawa Sam. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side keeps the fifth place with 22 games lost. Tokyo HT are looking forward to face league's leader Kanazawa Sam. in Ishikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tokyo Cinq R. will play at home against Saitama Broncos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
